In 1971, he left the company and became a freelancer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eIn 1976, he produced his masterpiece, \"Zokushin,\" which reexamined the Japanese national identity. Since then, he has consistently produced works on the theme of \"Considerations on Japan,\" through works such as \"Counting Sands,\" which captures urbanizing crowds, \"Party,\" which depicts the festive space of the bubble era, \"Zokushin 2,\" which symbolizes Japanese festivals, and the \"Hiroshima Trilogy,\" which brings the memory of the atomic bomb to the present.
