This is a photo collection that is the culmination of photographer Masaru Tatsuki's more than 10 years of traveling around the country to photograph decorated trucks and the people who live in that world.
Andon, Urokosten, Obake-Q bumper, Kinkazan, chandelier - the camera not only captures the splendor of the art trucks decorated in a variety of styles, but also delves into the lives of each of the truckers who operate them.
Their mysterious glow on the streets at night and their quiet presence in a parking lot during the day. What emerges from this stark contrast is the pride of those who survive harsh labor and the reality of everyday life.
The exhibition focuses on decotora not as a mere visual spectacle, but as a form of labor, the human body, and culture.
